| I just acquired a SJT-400 from Ebay and it is mint. It came with the remote and manual. Thing is, it is in great condition. I pulled the cover and removed the black goo from the loading mechanism and then installed a temporary O-ring to see if it functioned. I could hear the stylus clicking up and down and it would not play. I then installed a new stylus and it fired right up. I then put the old stylus back in but no go so there is definitely something wrong with the stylus. After I get the proper belt from Tom at CEDMagic I am going to pull my old 400 and put this one in its place. It is very rare that I have acquired CED players that are in this good of a condition. It was double boxed and properly padded. |

More power to you.
I received a Pioneer CLD-D406 LD player once that looked like it had been used no more than 10 times. (I am certain it was played more than that.) It was clean and performed flawlessly. The only sign of its age was the tiny amount of dust on the RCA jacks on its back panel.
It is so nice to get a player that has been coddled and treated with respect. _________________ Sears 934.54780150 & 934.54810350

Yep, it is a nice feeling. I bought an SJT-400 from John at CEDatum. He was selling it for a friend who originally worked at the RCA plant, it is so clean. _________________ SGT-250
