I moving and can't take my collection with me it's up for sale. I have roughly 750 titles and 6 machines 1 is a Zenith parts unit. It's a pretty nice collection with some really nice titles. I have 3 RCA auto loading machines, 1 sears auto load, and 1 RCA manual load. I'm looking to sell this as a complete collection. Located in NE Ohio. I will also include the shelving units I have for the disc's. Thanks.

Due to the spread out nature of the members locations and them fact that many of us tend to have a lot of the same titles as others and are looking for certain titles/discs or players for parts or use, it's not practical to sell such a large catalog and players in toto, plus those looking for players are looking for anything from parts (not all players have the same ones) and features such as search, stereo sound, remote controls...

You haven't given a price for the lot, or the players involved, so in general it makes it really hard to sell as a whole.

You at least need to list the players. Any uncommon or well-desired titles would also be of use.

When you are trying to disperse such a large lot it is possibly more feasible to try a local area sale, or in the more drastic case, donate some or most of it to charities where they could probably be of great help in funding them.

There is a disadvantage in the fact that over 32 years have passed since the CED system was discontinued and it has been a niche market for enthusiasts with curiosity primarily driving new interest.

If you can find new blood for the format it would probably be best. Many members here have sought to complete or nearly complete a collection and as they age move on and sell.

Shelving might be repurposed for LPs, reel tapes and other tape formats, depending on how they are designed. They might be a challenge to ship as well.

However you do this, I wish you luck. Many of us would still be interested in players, parts and certain titles. It's not an easy thing to do as a complete set.
