Has anyone tried an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning styli? If so, how effective is it? Would it destroy the stylus? _________________ Glitchy Mario

| I am not aware of anyone who has tried that. I have no idea if it would work or not. I have quite a few styli that have corrosion on the fly leads. If not for that, they would work. But I am not sure if this corrosion could be cleaned off with either a soak in a solution of some sort, or maybe an ultrasonic cleaner. I might have to pick up one and try it. |

| I doubt anyone has tried, but I am intrigued. I think it could work but it would likely need to be done a certain way for it to actually clean it without damaging the stylus. |

That’s probably true. Probably can’t just throw a bunch of cartridges in an ultrasonic basket and submerge the whole thing. Also if the stylus is in the down/read/open/[idk what to call it] position, the ultrasonic might be too much for the fly lead to handle without any kind of support.
The safest way I can think of is to suspend the cartridge in the air above the liquid in the up/not reading position and only have the stylus in the liquid while it runs _________________ Glitchy Mario
