Hello All,
I must apologize for the inconvenience but I was unable to reserve the conference room at the Wingate by Wyndham on Rockville Road where the workshop is usually held. Instead, I was able to get the conference room at the Hampton Inn, 5 miles down Rockville Road. If you have already made reservations at the Wingate you are more than welcome to keep them and stay there, the Workshop is only 5 miles down the road. I am not sure on the Wingate's cancellation policy but it should be early enough that you wouldn't get charged anything. I will say the Wingate is probably cheaper, but the Hampton Inn is quite a bit newer. I think it was just built within the last couple years. The RCA Factory on Rockville Road is actually right between the two hotels, and is a must see for all Videodisc fans. There are rooms available at the Hampton Inn if you prefer to switch, or reserve a room there. The majority of restaurants and retail stores are near the Hampton Inn. Here are the details for the event, and again I apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for understanding.

| just wondering how everything went. I was thinking about going but what I hate about the drive down there is It is pretty much straight south of me, but the fastest way to get there is either drive east or west for about an hour and then drive the south east or south west to get there and I hate that. It's about a 3 and a half hour drive but it's aggravating for me to drive for an hour and not really being any closer, if not being further away than what my starting point is. I had a j 300 and a g 250 but now I think I want to keep the 250 , but I have probably 20 players or so that need work but I pretty much lost interest. I have been using my 250 upstairs that's my everyday player. I never did hook my "impulse noise reduction" unit up to it yet, but I'm to the point now that I am able to hook it up,as I did have a pig kennel by my player so it was difficult to mess with stereo stuff, but the pig had to be put down and I now have that area cleaned up. That unit takes clicks and pops out of records so I'm curious to see if it works for a ced player. The manual states alot of stuff about phase differences or something but I just think when it hears something much louder than the source material it just mutes that click. It's made by SAE. I just don't like hearing the ticks and pops during quieter passages. |
