Measure twice, post once ( I actually measured the cable)I am giving away a 55-foot 10-pin camera extension cable for the Selectavision VJP-900T VCR. Obviously, this allowed me to easily record on the machine without undocking the VCR from the tuner section. This was lightly used (as the camera was soon stolen from my car).
I have never seen one for sale on eBay and there are, I imagine, very few people who might have an interest in it so Im offering it here. You pay only the actual shipping - not inflated for profit like so many eBay items! - and the boxed item weighs 3 and 1/2 pounds. I am in zip code 07649 and can ship with whatever carrier you prefer.
If I cant find a home for it soon, I will put it in our towns electronic recycling container

Hi Dave. This weekend, I wrote an E mail to you about obtaining this long camera cable, but I never heard back from you. I wrote in my message that I own a similar portable VHS format VCR with a Newvicon video camera, and that I may be able to use it to make some home movies. If this cable is still available, then I am still interested in it, but if someone else wants it, then they can have it instead of me.
Just let me know. Thanks! _________________ Let RCA turn your television into Selectavision! |

Hi again Dave.
I just want to let you know that the long cable for cameras just arrived in my mail two days ago. Just now, I tested it with my old General Electric "Performance" Newvicon color video camera & my old General Electric "Performance" portable VCR, and it still works great! My VCR & separate tuner/power supply were manufactured on 11-20-1984, and my camera was manufactured in March 1985, which is when I was born.
I apologise for the confusion & miscommunication, but I want to thank you again for the cable, and I can assure you that it has a good home with me, where it will be used and cherished.
You may be right about there being very few people today who still have an interest in this cable, and I also think that I could be the only person left in the world who still likes to use the old setup of a large Newvicon color camera connected to a portable VCR with big nickel-cadmium "brick" rechargeable batteries and a CCJ plug to shoot raw footage on blank tapes! It's a bit cumbersome, but it still works wonderfully, and it's a lot more fun shooting home movies this way than with a boring cell phone, just like every one else does.
Just like you, I also did a search for this cable online, and I couldn't find any information about it online anywhere. The closest thing that I could find was EIAJ connectors for sale, but no CCJ cables anywhere or extension cables like this one.
Anyway, thanks again, and it was very nice to do business with you! _________________ Let RCA turn your television into Selectavision! |
